I teach drawing, watercolor, acrylic painting, soapstone carving, printmaking, photography, multimedia crafts, acrylic pouring. I sell photo cards, framed photos, prints on canvas, and original artwork.
I have always loved nature, from roaming the forests and streams as a child, to rock collecting and bird watching in exotic and remote places around the world. At University, I studied drawing and painting and went to France to study art. During my many years as a teacher in York Region, I taught many different types of art in class and at arts camps. I also belonged to art associations like SOYRA and attended many workshops and classes to learn new skills and to network with other artists.
In the past five years, I have been teaching adult watercolor and acrylic painting courses at the Georgina Arts Centre and Gallery in Sutton, and leading kids’ camps. I have participated in many juried art shows and had my work displayed in libraries and in restaurants throughout York Region.
I have been doing some type of creative work all my life-writing, drawing, painting, taking photos. The natural world has been my solace, my comfort, and my curiosity. I love to explore and have been to the Arctic many times, to the Galapagos, to the jungle, in the desert, climbed mountains, been diving in the sea, climbed volcanoes, and even camped and kayaked in Antarctica. My work reflects the colors, patterns, textures, shapes, and feelings I feel when I am out exploring. My goal is to share what I feel and see with you.
